the Baytree building

Come give us your input/ideas, learn about the organization, get a sneak peek at upcoming events we have planned for Spring quarter, mingle with new friends, and enjoy a good time together!

Those who are interested are definetely welcomed to stay for an official CSA core meeting afterwards from 9-10 pm to get your glimpse of how the organization works.

Pre-sale Banquet Tickets, Sold-out!

Sorry everybody, but we have sold-out of Pre-sale tickets. Therefore,
we will not be selling in the Quarry for the extra day.

 

There is a very slight chance that we will sell more tickets at the door for $10, so if you would still like to come, and are willing to pay the door price, come early and hopefully u will be able to get these precious last minute tickets.

Banquet Ticket Sales Extended An Extra Day

We are extending the ticket sales one extra day. We will be selling the pre-sale tickets until Wednesday, March 7, 2007 from 11AM – 4PM!

You have one more day to buy your tickets at the pre-sale price of $7. We will be tabling for the extra day in the Quarry Plaza and if you don’t see us their when it is convenient to you, you can still purchase your tickets at the Asian American/ Pacific Islander Resource Center (AA/PIRC), which is located on the 3rd floor of the Baytree Bookstore in the Ethnic Resource Center- go to Robert Imada’s office Monday-Friday.

Now, you can also purchase your pre-sale tickets at the Student Organization and Advising Office (SOAR) Monday-Friday.

Get your tickets soon before they run out!

CSA Hot Pot Night!

The Chinese Student Association (CSA) would like to present our first:

HOT POT NIGHT!

When: Thursday
February 15, 2007
8:00 – 10:00pm
Where: Village Kitchen F4

Come and experience a night full of food and fun at our first hot pot night! Chinese style! The dinner will consist of a simmering pot of broth at the center of the dining table where ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, and seafood.

Space is limited so make sure that you get there early to reserve your spot!

Badminton Tournament

The UCSC Badminton Club and Chinese Student Association presents:

The 2nd Annual Slugminton Jr. Mixed Doubles Badminton Tournament

Sunday, January 21, 2007, 11:00 AM

@ the Westfield House Gym on the UCSC Campus

Entree fee is $3

Format: Winners and Consulation Brackets

Prizes: Will be awarded to winners and runners up from each bracket.

Applications are due Saturday, January 20, 2007 by 5:00 PM

Turn in applications at the UCSC Badminton Club’s any open gym practices on Tues 8-10 AM at the East Gym (Team), Wed 8-10 AM at the East Gym (Team), Thurs 8-10 PM at the West Gym (Club), Fri 7-9 PM at the East Gym (Team), and Sun 1-3 pm at the East Gym (Club)

Badminton players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate! Rackets are available at the tournament in limited supply. Contestants may ask for a more advanced player as a doubles partners.

Bowling Night

friends of the Chinese Student Association presents:

Bowling Night @ the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Bowl

Location: Meet at the Quarry Plaza @ 8:30 PM for ride accomodations and to meet new friends

Date: Tuesday, November 21, 2006

Cost: $4.55. $2.50 for shoe rental and $2.05 for the first & additional game played

Come meet new friends, mingle, make bowling teams and bowl the night away!
