CSA Lunar New Year Banquet 2014

Hi everyone,

CSA is hosting our 28th annual Lunar New Year Banquet early this month, on Saturday, March 1st! Doors open at 5:30PM and the event starts at 6PM and ending around 10PM. Our banquet was held at Porter Dining Hall. It was CSA’s biggest event and we appreciate all those who were able to come out and support us. We’re started to run out tickets as the event closed in. So hopefully if you enjoyed this year’s performance or you missed out on it this year you’ll buy your tickets early for next year! They are usually $10 for pre-sales and $15 at the door, but we usually sell out so I suggest you get them soon! It’s also notable that a portion of the proceeds from your ticket will go toward charity! :)

Banquet csawordpressIf you needed a reason or you’re unsure let me give you a couple of reasons why you should have gone! We are usually serving authentic Chinese food, so if you  tired of dining hall food, you can have some delicious Chinese food for a meal. Along with great food you can accompany that meal than a good lineup of performances including lion dance, CSA’s very own traditional dance, fashion show, and No Access Allowed hip hop, along with performances by other organizations!

Doesn’t that look fun and great? :) We apologize for those who weren’t able to make it. So hopefully we’ll see you next year at our 29th Annual Banquet.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

EGGROLL MAKING NIGHT!

Oh my. Hopefully you all enjoyed joining us for Moon Cake Making Night. If you did, then please come out to EGGROLL MAKING NIGHT! It’s tonight! November 20th, 2013 at 7PM! If you couldn’t make it out to moon cake making, then here’s your chance to make up for it! MAKE MAKE MAKE!

So tonight (hopefully the strike that may or may not happen doesn’t affect your method of getting there too much D: ) roll on over the VILLAGE KITCHEN at 7PM! It’s the same location as moon cake making night. If you don’t know how to get there, simply take any bus and get off at the East Remote Parking Lot (or walk there, that works too :D) and go across the street from the parking lot and look for the arrows that say “CSA Event” on them. Follow the arrows like a treasure map and you’ll find the treasure, ALL THE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED TO MAKE EGGROLLS, provided by the Chinese Student Association. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE! 😀

CSA Fall Reception 2013

Hello Everyone,

Something special is happening this week. Tomorrow is CSA’s first official event of the school year. We’ll be having our annual Fall Reception on October 29th, from 7pm to 9pm at the Oakes Learning Center. Fall Reception is CSA’s way of letting the community know what we have to offer and how you can involved. Also with tradition with every CSA event there will be free food and free beverages. We will be having catered Chinese food paired with some fun activities. All that we are asking is that you bring yourself, your stomachs and that you tell your friends about it and see if they want to come along.

Now if you don’t know where or how to get to the Oakes Learning Center that is fine. If you get off at either College 8/Porter or Oakes bus stop all you need to do is follow the conveniently placed arrows that say “CSA event.”
